About Our Practice
Horizons OBGYN & Aesthetics was founded by Dr. Manny Herrera and his wife, Katie Herrera. Dr. Manny is a board-certified OBGYN and body sculpting aesthetic surgeon, and Katie is a certified nurse midwife/women’s health nurse practitioner. Together they have over 30 years of experience in the medical field that they bring to Horizons.
We believe in providing comprehensive health services for women, all under one roof. Our practice is a safe and welcoming space for women of all ages to receive unparalleled gynecologic, aesthetic, and wellness treatments.
Frequently Asked Questions
We use local anesthesia along with a medicine to help you relax before your labiaplasty or vaginoplasty, so you won’t feel a thing during your treatment. During your recovery, you may experience some discomfort or pain as your body heals, but this can usually be mitigated by over the counter pain medication. We can provide you with prescription medicine if you want it also to help manage any pain.
At your initial consultation, we’ll let you know what special preparations are needed for your procedure. Typically we ask patients to not smoke for several weeks before and after surgery, refrain from alcohol and blood-thinning medication, and be adequately groomed around the treatment area. You will be unable to drive after your appointment and will need a ride from our practice. Your medical team and gynecologic surgeon in Winter Garden will tell you if there are any unique preparations needed for you as well.
