Gynecologists in Winter Garden

Hi, I am Dr, Manny Herrera. My wife Katie and I are thrilled to finally open our family-owned clinic, Horizons OBGYN and Aesthetics. Horizons West is our backyard and community, and thus it is with pleasure that we are bringing our medical services home.

I have resided in Winter Garden since 2006 when I moved as a medical student, and Katie is a Central Florida native who was born and grew up in the neighboring city of Apopka.

I am a board-certified OBGYN and fellowship-trained aesthetic body sculpting surgeon. I’m a native from Cuba and a third-generation physician who immigrated to the United States in 1994. My family roots in medicine are traced back to the 1930s, when my father’s uncle practiced internal medicine with expertise in lung diseases. My father was also an internal medicine physician, and my oldest son, Christopher, is currently in medical school to be a 4th generation doctor.

My other son, Sebastian, is currently studying Health Care Management at UCF (to be my boss one day), and our daughter, Kensi, is currently at Hamlin Middle School. She is a solid student and a very strong athlete in both soccer and volleyball.

I am very excited to bring my extensive medical, surgical, and leadership experience to Horizon West and serve our own community in partnership with my wife. As providers, we bring what I call “the must-have traits” of great healers: knowledge, professionalism, dedication, and a strong work ethic. Most importantly, we have the ability to listen and be there for our patients when they need us the most.

Hey, I’m Katie Herrera. I’m a Certified Nurse Midwife and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner.

I am so excited to provide the much needed services in our local Winter Garden area. I am a native Floridian and grew up here in Central Florida. I graduated with honors from Apopka High School 2003. I started my career as a patient care tech then Registered Nurse at Winnie Palmer Hospital. I became a Certified Nurse Midwife in 2012 and have been taking care of women since then. All together I have over 15 years experience.

My great grandmother was the town’s midwife in Wales in the 1930’s. Our passion for caring for women and families goes back generations! It’s incredible that we have been able to start this journey together and care for our communities just like our ancestors did. My journey as a Certified Nurse Midwife and Nurse Practitioner brought me in the aesthetics niche and I love combining both for my patients and clients. I have over 3 years of aesthetic practice and training.

I have attended numerous conferences and training seminars. We carry products from many different manufacturers. My favorite part of aesthetics is enhancing someone’s natural beauty. One of my favorite procedures include lip augmentation with fillers and the lip flip.
