Horizons OBGYN & Aesthetics is privately owned and operated by Dr. Manny Herrera, OBGYN Physician and Katie Herrera APRN/CNM. Our mission is to care for and empower our patients.

Role Description

This is a full time on-site role for a Medical Assistant located in Winter Garden, FL. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for performing medical assisting tasks such as preparing patients for exams, assisting the physician during exams, and performing basic lab tests. Other duties include managing medical records, supporting the daily activities of the medical office, and ensuring the accuracy of medical terminology. The Medical Assistant will also be involved in providing patient care, scheduling appointments, and managing patient inquiries. Proficiency in English, Spanish, & Portuguese required.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Medical Assisting and understanding Medical Terminology
• Experience in working within a Medical Office and managing Medical Records
• Strong skills in Patient Care and ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred
• Previous experience in an OBGYN setting is a plus
